A Few Words About My Sixth Time- an Abandoned Venture

Sometime in Feb(this year); before boards:

If you are an innately creative person, then when you don't write for long, you get restless. But then out of the priorities, you tend to suppress them. What what do they do then? Bounce back, and hard. So much that you can't think of any other stuff. So much that you have to give in. Besides, you don't really want to stifle it, you just have to because the genuine inspirations are rare to come by. So such was the thing that happened. It was around 11.30 pm and I lay upon my mattress, indulging into them. Frustrated that I couldn't switch on the computer at such 'unearthly time', I finally picked up my pen and the practice notebook and penned what will be my next post here.

After the initial euphoria died down, I gradually lost interest. I mean, I liked the theme I had decided upon but somehow it didn't drive me so much that I will be again willing to invest in it. Mainly because it was more description oriented than plot oriented, you know, like R K Narayan and Jhumpa Lahiri types. Besides, I was a bit unsure about it. Yup, under-confidence about my prospective writings is a disease I suffer from. And so I abandoned it. But again, I liked what I had written and so I preserved that notebook and as I finish copying what I wrote and post it here, it will be free to be recycled.

So coming back to my story, this 1st chapter has two parts. The first para has 3rd person and the following have 1st person narration. Its deliberate and I had ideas on how to convincingly portray them. Next, watch the narration. Its full of cliche's- idioms, phrases and all. Deliberate again- the guy is a yokel after all.
